SAVE THE DATES: NROC Fall Meeting Set for November 29-30, 2023

Please hold November 29-30, 2023 for NROC’s next in-person meeting which will include workshops associated with Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funded projects being implemented by NROC’s three committees – Ocean Planning, Ocean and Coastal Ecosystem Health, and Coastal Hazards Resilience. We encourage our partners from state and federal agencies, tribes, NGOs, businesses, National Estuary Programs, and National Estuarine Research Reserves to save these dates as your involvement is critical to the success of our collaborative efforts to advance ocean and coastal priorities in the Northeast.

NROC is leading several projects with tie-ins to the IIJA funding. Potential workshop topics during the NROC meeting include:

• ocean and coastal acidification monitoring
• water level sensors
• mapping and monitoring of coastal vegetation and blue carbon storage
• advancing living shorelines
• integrating sea level rise projections into planning
• integrated sentinel monitoring
• seafloor mapping
