SAVE THE DATE – NROC Meeting on May 15, 2025
NROC will host its next in-person meeting on May 15, 2025, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Greenland, NH. The meeting will include updates about NROC’s committee and project work, including the following:
- The Coastal Hazards Resilience Committee’s outreach and training for planning and implementing living shorelines in the coastal zone.
- The Ocean and Coastal Ecosystem Health Committee’s outreach to better understand seafloor mapping priorities and data needs from its coastal and submerged vegetation mapping and ocean acidification monitoring projects.
- The Ocean Planning Committee’s initiation of a project to improve understanding of coastal and submerged archaeological resources.
- An update on the pending redesign of the Northeast Ocean Data Portal and related efforts to improve data management for recently collected data that are used in the many maps and products on the Portal.
- The meeting will also include updates from NROC members and partners.
