Q&A for NROC RFP – Advancement of Shared Northeast Priorities for Resilient Shorelines
Questions and requests for clarification regarding this RFP should be submitted to Dani Carter at dcarter@northeastoceancouncil.org by July 27, 2015. Responses will be posted here, and will be updated periodically as questions are received.
Q&A:
Q – When the proposals are being reviewed, if NROC determines that they want a portion of the work to be done that is being proposed but not the entire project or requested funding amount, will NROC potentially choose a portion of a proposal and offer a grant with a reduced funding level than originally requested?
A – Yes, depending on the funds requested and the number of proposals received.
Q – Are small Canadian/international consulting groups eligible to respond to this RFP?
A – Yes, there are no restrictions on international awards for this grant.
Clarifications to note:
- For the purposes of this opportunity resilience is defined as the measure of how a system can respond to or recover from natural and human-induced changes in environmental conditions
- There is no one-stop site or single link to Hurricane Sandy Mitigation funded projects and their emerging products and results.
- While there is no definitive maximum award amount, it should be noted that there is a maximum overall funding amount ($220,00) and it is anticipated that multiple (2-5) awards will be granted. The amount of funding per project will depend on the size, location, type, and merits of the project.
- Applicants will be notified of the results of the selection process no later than August 26, 2015.
- As this is a NROC RFP, NROC committees and subcommittees can not apply as an entity, but membership in a subcommittee and involvement with NROC does not preclude your host agency from applying, nor your participation in a proposal.
- Federal partners are not eligible applicants.
- NROC committees, as an entity, can not provide letters of support.
- Regional proposals are acceptable.
- At this time we are not providing feedback or weighing in on specific project ideas.
- Contact parties directly for interest in collaborative proposals.
