  • Public Comment Period for Draft Northeast Regional Ocean Plan: The Northeast Regional Planning Body (RPB) released the Northeast Regional Ocean Plan in May for public review and comment. Several years of public engagement, scientific study and data analysis, and collaboration led to the draft plan, and the RPB looks forward to hearing the feedback of everyone interested in the future of New England’s ocean and its resources. The public comment deadline is July 25th. Click here to review the plan and for more information on the various ways to comment, including at public meetings, electronically through the RPB web site, or submitting written comments.
  • Job Announcement with US Coast Guard: The US Coast Guard is seeking a coastal and marine spatial planning support specialist (GS-301-10).   • 2016 Coastal Ecosystem Resiliency Grants FFO: NOAA is announcing the availability of up to $8.5 million in Coastal Ecosystem Resiliency grant funding for project awards in 2016. Through this funding opportunity, NOAA is seeking project proposal from non-federal partners to implement habitat restoration actions that will restore coastal ecosystems and improve resiliency. The primary focus of this grant program is to develop healthy and sustainable coastal ecosystems through on-the-ground habitat restoration actions. Click here for more information and how to apply.
