NROC would like you to know –

  • The NROC Winter Meeting will be held Thursday, February 5th in Portsmouth, NH. A briefing packet will be distributed prior to the meeting with agenda and location directions.
  • NROC’s Ocean and Coastal Ecosystem Health Committee held a Marsh Migration Modeling and Policy workshop on December 2-3 in Greenland, NH. Approximately 50 state, local and federal resource managers, NGOs, and modeling experts from Maine to Connecticut met to discuss and share lessons learned from current state efforts focused on marsh migration modeling, monitoring and restoration efforts, as well as policy and management approaches. Meeting materials from the workshop are now available on the library section of the NROC web site, under the Ocean and Ecosystem Health Committee tab. A meeting summary will be posted soon.

  • Green Infrastructure and Flood Resiliency Webinar: On January 29th from 12-1:15pm, Dr. Rob Roseen of Geosyntec Consultants will present Green Infrastructure and Flood Resiliency – Land Use Management as an Adaptation Strategy in the Built Environment. He will address assessment, planning, and adaptation to not only better prepare for the next emergency, but to sustainably manage flooding, and stormwater to maintain human health and a vibrant local economy.
