- A reminder that NROC is seeking proposals to support advancement of shared Northeast state priorities for resilient shorelines. NROC will fund 2-5 proposals that provide data products, tools, information, and processes for shoreline resilience planning and management to coastal decision makers. Proposals should focus on increasing the delivery of scientific information and adaptation tools to coastal communities and decision-makers. The deadline for proposals is August 5th. See the attached RFP, or online, for details.

- Call for abstracts – AGU Fall Meeting: A public affairs session, Flood Mapping for Adaptation and Resilience: Sea Level Rise, Storms, and Coastal Response, is being convened at the AGU Fall Meeting by Rebecca French of the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation (CIRCA), UConn, along with Bob Kopp of Rutgers University and Ru Morrison of the Northeastern Regional Association of Coastal and Ocean Observing Systems (NERACOOS). They hope to bring together experts who are contributing to mapping the impacts of climate change along the shores of coasts and rivers to help communities adapt and become more resilient. Knowing that there are many relevant projects in your states and programs that would make an excellent contribution to this session, they ask that you consider submitting an abstract. The deadline to submit an abstract is August 5, 2015. Please note that you can submit an abstract to a public affairs session in addition to the maximum of one invited and one contributed or two invited abstracts for other sections. This is a special case for abstracts submitted to public affairs sessions. Click here for more information on how to submit an abstract. Please contact Rebecca (rebecca.french@uconn.edu) with any questions. Via Rebecca French, CIRCA/UConn
