NROC Announces Several Contractual Opportunities to Support Implementation of its Work Plan

NROC Meeting Set for April 13, 2023

Please save the date for NROC’s next in-person meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 13, 2023. The location and timing of the meeting will be posted on the NROC website when available.

We are also pleased to inform you that the Regional Ocean Partnership (ROP) Act was signed into law along with several other ocean bills at the end of last year. The ROP Act formally authorizes NROC and three other existing ROPs (in the Mid-Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and West Coast) to receive federal funding to support intergovernmental coordination for shared regional ocean management priorities. We are grateful for the support.

Please look for our next communication which will include opportunities to work with us as we implement our work plan. We will be seeking individuals and organizations to support project management, tribal engagement, meeting facilitation, and data processing and development for the many projects that are being led by our three committees.

Please contact Nick Napoli (nnapoli@northeastoceancouncil.org) if you have any questions.

We look forward to working with you this year.

Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council

Rick Bennett, NROC Federal Co-Chair
